Immediate Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (IPS) is a nationally recognized, fully integrated state-of-the-art prescription mail service facility located in Avon Lake, Ohio, a western suburb of Cleveland. Since its establishment in 1989, IPS has grown steadily by providing a long term commitment to each of its clients. Catalyst Rx Comp is the workers’ compensation pharmacy benefit management program of Catalyst Rx. Catalyst Rx Comp takes an innovative approach to managing pharmacy costs by concentrating on the primary drivers of excessive pharmacy utilization. Catalyst Rx Comp identifies and addresses adverse trends through data analysis with a focus on implementing unique clinical programs, prescriber education programs and customizable formulary management options. The program also provides detailed online reporting that is accompanied by interpretation and recommendations; not simply standard utilization and savings information. In addition, Catalyst Rx Comp offers the traditional components of a workers’ compensation pharmacy program, including a national pharmacy network, mail service program, first-fill program options, automatic brand to generic substitution and 24/7 customer service. Catalyst Rx Government Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Catalyst Rx, provides pharmacy benefit management services to federal and state health programs (such as Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP programs) and to clients who contract directly with such programs, including Medicare Part D plans.

As an independent PBM, Catalyst Rx provides clients with Medicare Part D support that is unbiased and focused on client needs. Catalyst Rx is not a Part D provider and thus does not compete with our clients for membership in Medicare. Our client base includes Part D clients such as Medicare Advantage organizations and Special Needs Programs. Additionally, we provide comprehensive support services for employers that pursue options such as the Retiree Drug Subsidy and wrap-around drug coverage. All employer clients receive updated information regularly via e-mail alerts and electronic newsletters.
